Scam Alert: Fraudulent Palladium-Like Token Identified on Ethereum

The Palladium Network team has identified a fraudulent token on the Ethereum blockchain that is impersonating Palladium by using a similar name and branding. This token is not affiliated with Palladium Network and was created with the apparent intent to mislead users. This article explains what happened, how to identify the fake token, and how to protect yourself. Author: The Palladium Team Published on: December 30, 2025

What Was Discovered

A malicious actor deployed a token on Ethereum that imitates the Palladium (PLLD) name and visual identity. While it may look legitimate at first glance, it exists under a different smart contract address and has no connection to the official Palladium Network.

Any token using Palladium branding outside of the official contract address above is fraudulent.

Why This Type of Scam Works

On Ethereum, anyone can create a token and choose its name, symbol, and logo. Scammers exploit this by copying the appearance of legitimate projects, hoping users will rely on visuals instead of verifying the contract address.

Wallets and block explorers may display:

  • The same token name or symbol
  • A copied logo
  • Similar descriptions

However, only the contract address is unique and trustworthy.

How Fake Tokens Are Used to Scam Users

Fraudulent tokens like this are often used in several deceptive ways:

  • Appearing unexpectedly in user wallets
  • Being promoted through unofficial channels
  • Encouraging users to connect wallets or approve transactions
  • Creating situations where tokens can be bought but not sold

Interacting with these tokens can result in permanent loss of funds.

How to Verify the Real Palladium Token

Before interacting with any token claiming to be Palladium (PLLD):

  • Always verify the full smart contract address
  • Compare it with the official address published by Palladium Network
  • Ignore tokens that appear in your wallet without your action
  • Never approve token permissions from unknown or unverified sources

If the contract address does not exactly match the official one, do not interact with it.

Our Commitment to User Safety

Palladium Network takes user safety seriously. We actively monitor the ecosystem for impersonation attempts and issue public warnings when fraudulent activity is detected.

Please note:

  • Palladium Network cannot reverse transactions made on fake contracts
  • We will never ask users to migrate funds or interact with unofficial tokens
  • Official contract information is shared only through verified Palladium channels

Final Warning

The token deployed under the following address is not Palladium Network and should be avoided:
